Cyber News and Reviews is a monthly column published since 1995 for parents, teachers and small business and home business owners offering articles on some of the best computer products available. I cover business software, education, entertainment with freeware and shareware, and some hardware too. Over the years, I've reviewed computer programs from Microsoft, Knowledge Adventure (Davidson) and others. When my kids were young, they couldn't wait for the software to arrive and have fun testing the games and lessons with me. Anti Spyware Software: You've Got to Have It

The Internet is a great resource for almost everything, but anyone who spends time online knows there are dangers lurking, waiting to capture you and your unsuspecting browser at each stop in your journey online. You never know when you visit a Website if some malicious program is waiting to creep into your browser and infect your computer. The stuff you can pick up is sometimes harmless advertising, but more often it's dangerous and malicious programs designed to steal your passwords or capture your credit card account numbers or even latch on to your e-mail account and send out spam from your computer and you'll never know it's happening. So, that's why anti-spyware software was developed, and there's lots of freeware and shareware programs to help you stop them cold. Here are few of the best programs available (courtesy of Snapfiles.com). If you find one that you like, pick a second for added protection. Often, different programs find different problems.
