Piano Scores Unlimited from IPE Music and eMedia Music Corporation
By Howard Berenbon

eMedia Music Corporation, well known for their My Piano, My Guitar and My Violin music instruction software titles, just released a great new music software product called Piano Scores Unlimited.  It’s a DVD-ROM packed with hundreds of classical musical scores, all royalty free without use restrictions.

Installation from a single DVD was quick and simple, and in no time you have access to all 630 scores, grouped by composer.  To use, simply insert the DVD into your DVD-ROM drive and in a few seconds, the program will open ready to use.  Initially, you’ll see a list of songs on the left side of your screen grouped alphabetically by composer. Clicking on a title from that list will display the sheet music in the center of the screen.  At the bottom of the screen, you’ll find information on the selected score including Author, Title, number of pages, Style and difficulty level. You can easily print the complete score by clicking on the Printer icon to the right of the information box.  To listen to the selected piece, just click on the Listen icon to the right of the print icon.  And you can also export the piece for use on your MP3 player.  If you need to display a score in another language, it’s easy to change from English to French, German, Dutch, Spanish or Italian.

To search for a specific title, you can enter terms into the search box at the top of the screen and find the score that matches your criteria. You can also display the list alphabetically, group by style or even group by difficulty level. Composers include Babell, Bach, Beethoven, Bizet, Boccherini, Burgmuller, Chopin, Clementi, Corelli, Couperin, Czerny,Daquin, Debussy, Diabelli, Franck, Gluck, Graupner, Gurlitt, Haendel, Hasse, Hydn, Hassler, Joplin, Krebs, Krieger, Lully, Martini, Massenet, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Pachelbel, Petzold, Purcell, Rameau, Scarlatti, Schubert, Schumann, Strauss, Tchaikovski, Telemann and Truk.

Piano Scores Unlimited sells for $59.99 and will work on any multimedia PC running Windows 2000, Vista or XP.  If you’re a music teacher, then this is your dream software because you can print any piece any number of times without restrictions. For more information, or to order, visit Amazon.com.
